“Soup bowl breathing” is a great trick when you need to clear your mind, lower your stress or get focused.
It’s easy!
- Cup your hands like you’re holding a bowl of your favorite soup (or just put your hands in your lap).
- Sit up tall and close your eyes or glance down.
- Breathe in through your nose, like you’re smelling a delicious bowl of soup.
- Breathe out through your mouth, like you’re trying to blow on the bowl to cool it down.
- Breathe in for 4 seconds.
- Breathe out for 8 seconds.
- Repeat three times.
